ASP.NET 2.0, VB.NET 2.0, SQL Server 2005, Streaming Video FlickPhone.com, Los Angeles (August 2005 – present) – Built and designed a data-driven video-on-demand website that hosts video movie review content. It also allows for account creation, administrative updates, advertising on demand, email list creation and email blasting. The site also integrates an Authorize.net e-commerce solution.

ASP.NET, VB.NET, ASP, SQL Server 2000 One Link for Travel, Los Angeles (August 2005 – present) – Built a data model that allowed for this travel group to track and relate travel agencies, agents, consortia and associations. Modified and embellished the booking and cancellation process and Interfaced that data with the accounting package Epicor. Built all pieces that interfaced with the travel booking process.

ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, ASP, SQL Oracle Nielsen Ratings Group, Los Angeles (April 2005 – Septemner 2005) – Worked with the NRG group in developing an internal application that tracked and displayed all of Nielsen’s rating tracking data. This included data aggregation and reporting across multiple data sources.

ASP.NET, Mainstreet, VB.NET, ASP, SQL Server 2000 Daniels.com, Los Angeles (February 2005 – May 2005) – Built the data model and the Mainstreet interface to convert Daniel’s previous ASP site to a .NET site. This included utilizing custom templates and integrating the data from a custom database and the Mainstreet web services into those templates.

ASP.NET, VB.NET, ASP, SQL Server 2000 BankerRealty.com, Los Angeles (March 2005 – present) – Built an e-commerce solution that allows for automatic updates of lending rates, the ability for users to dynamically select and apply for loans based on those updated daily rates.

ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server 2000, COM, FedEx API, MAS 500, ADO.NET Printrunner.com. (June 2003 – present) – Built a soup-to-nuts solution for this mid-sized printing operation. Including e-commerce portal, complete order tracking, invoicing, MAS-500 accounting integration and administrative and internal user support applications. The system allows for dynamic product and pricing creation and reporting. Created all aspects of data structure and application interfaces. Heavy use of User Controls and XML datasets. Wrote a custom COM object for FedEx, UPS and US Post shipping interfaces. Interfaced customer application with MAS 500 accounting system. Built a VB.NET User interface for administrating Customer accounts

ASP.NET, VB.NET, ASP, SQL Server 2000 LaCasting.com, Los Angeles (October 2004 – December 2004) – Built an e-commerce solution that augments there current non-commerce enabled talent portal. Included custom invoicing, accounting (using Quickbooks) and reporting into the architecture. Built an administrative tool that allows LaCasting to add cart items and track them from selection to order completion. Built an imaging application inVB.NET that allows LACasting to modify/enhance photographs and update data relating to that material

ASP.NET, ASP, SQL Server 2000 LipInk.com, Los Angeles (October 2003 – May 2004) – Ported their existing ASP application to ASP.NET. Integrated their off the shelf shopping cart into the application.

ASP.NET, ASP, SQL Server 2000, Imaging L3 Communications, Los Angeles (July 2003 – November 2003) – Upgraded their present Access database system to SQL Server 2000, built a download program that allows the L3 engineering staff to upload images from their image database to their local system, modified their local Intranet print routine to print to automatically print to a pre-specified printer.

Visual Basic 6.0,  VBA, Pivot Tables, Web Classes, ASP, XML Tags, XMLDOM, XSL Stylesheets, SQL Server 7.0/2000, COM/COM+,  Content Management Server 2002, Visio 2000, Java Script,  IIS 5.0, Windows NT/2000 BizBulk.com  (March, 2003 – 3 weeks to complete!!) – A site that lets you write one email and reach thousands of businesses, I built, designed and implemented all elements of this web site. Built all back-side messaging and harvesting applications. Designed all database elements (tables, stored procedures, triggers, rules) used by BizBulk.com. Designed and implemented custom services and callback elements. Reporting and analysis using automated Excel Pivot Tables.

ASP, Biztalk, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML Tags, Content Management Server 2002, XMLDOM, XSL Stylesheets, SQL Server 7.0/2000, COM/COM+,  Visio 2000, Java Script,  VBA, Pivot Tables, IIS 5.0, Windows NT/2000 LipInk.com Corporation. (October 2002 – February 2003) Created with the idea of having minimal administrative support, I maintained, enhanced, designed, developed and built LipInk.com and administrative interfaces. Built data structures, business logic and supporting code. Used BizTalk to implement message routing into the SQL Server. Reporting and analysis using automated Excel Pivot Tables.

Visual Basic 6.0,  Web Classes, ASP, XML Tags, XMLDOM, XSL Stylesheets, SQL Server 7.0/2000, COM/COM+,  Visio 2000, Java Script,  VBA, Pivot Tables, IIS 5.0, Windows NT/2000 FlickTalkTV.com  (Memorial Day, 2000 – present) – Developed the idea of using video taped film reviews to collect demographic data for the movie industry. Designed and created all interfaces, data structure and supporting code for the site. Built all supporting spreadsheets used to graphically view the above demographic data. Conducted all on-air film interviews. Produced a supporting pilot television show. Reporting and analysis using automated Excel Pivot Tables. (April 1999 – present) Created with the idea of having minimal administrative support, I designed, developed and built all technical and business aspects of the company. Architected and envisioned the idea and business model. Designed and built all interfaces, data structures, business logic and supporting code. Used BizTalk to implement message routing into the SQL Server. Reporting and analysis using automated Excel Pivot Tables. Visual Basic 6.0,  Web Classes, ASP XML Tags, Content Management Server, XMLDOM, XSL Stylesheets, SQL Server 7.0/2000, COM/COM+,  Visio 2000, Java Script, VBA, Pivot Tables, IIS 4.0, Microsoft Index Server,  Windows NT/2000 Veritest Inc, Santa Monica, Ca. (July 1999 – present) –Designed, developed, built and managed Veritest’s online database for their Certification program. Beginning with the Microsoft Certified for Windows 2000 program, I modeled the program’s business structure in SQL Server 7.0 using Visio 2000. Built and supported all online applications using Microsoft’s Web Classes, custom XML tags and a series of COM/COM+ objects for data access. Working with Veritest management, I managed all facets of the application(s) development including roll-out dates and schedules. Reporting and analysis using automated Excel Pivot Tables. The program is currently online and supports over 1000 companies and several thousand products.

NT Server, SQL Server 6.5, Visual Basic 5.0, VBA, Pivot Tables, MS Transaction Server, JMP US Department of Energy, Washington, DC. (March 1998 – July 1998) – Designed and built, as part of a team, a series of applications that managed DOE survey data from energy sites around the country. Focus was on ActiveX control creation and data binding to classes and controls. Reporting and analysis using automated Excel Pivot Tables.

NT Server, SQL Server 6.5, Visual Basic 5.0, MS Transaction Server, Access 97, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Washington, DC. (August, 1997 – February, 1998) – Designed a plan to consolidate the current system used by HUD and the FHA, which maintains the status of single and multi-family housing contracts, into a server data repository or warehouse, accessible by a custom designed FHA clients.

Visual Basic 4.0 – 16 bit, MS Access 2.0 US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, White Flint, Maryland (June – November, 1997) – Enhanced an already existing accounting database that tracked funding for NRC based projects. Streamlined the querying and reporting process of the system.

Visual Basic 5.0 (CCE)Visual Basic 4.0/Visual C 4.x/SQL Server/Access 95  US Department of Health and Human Services,  Washington DC (Feb. 1996 – June 1997) - Designed and wrote a series of applications and databases that took traditional legacy based data and placed it into a micro-based solution.  Designed and built a data mart of normalized data and the administration and user applications that accessed the data.  Ported the desktop, user access application to a WEB based browser application which allows access of the HHS data via the WEB.

Visual Basic 4.0/Access 2.0 Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom,  Washington, DC (Mar 1996 - present) - Worked with Skadden attorneys and staff in developing a series of in-house and vertical market commercial database applications for the law firm.  These programs ranged from billing applications to campaign finance tracking databases. 

Visual Basic 4.0/Access 95/Notes FileAd Service Company, Chicago, Il. (Dec. - Feb. 1996) - Rewrote their bill tracking system for Windows NT, that uses OLE components and takes advantage of VB 4.0’s 3-tier, central business rules paradigm.

Visual Basic/MSAccess Beneficial National Bank, Wilmington, Delaware (Oct. - Nov. 1995) - Developed and designed a queue manager, a fax router and a fax user interface used to approve or disapprove credit applications sent to the bank by creditors via fax.  The set of programs also allowed management to review employees performance on the system.

Visual Basic/C++/MSAccess  NBC Digital Media/ Luminair, Chicago/New York (Jan. - Sept. 1995) - Developed “A History of Notre Dame Football” on CD-ROM for retail, national sale.  Designed and developed all user interface code, database structures and embedded relationships, and CD media topology.  Wrote all supporting applications which allowed journalists/archivists to relate relevant stories and media. 

C++/Visual Basic/MSAccess Organizational Effectiveness Consultants, Chicago, IL.(Feb. - Dec. 1994) - Designed, developed and implemented a series of programs that processed human resources survey data locally and remotely for OEC’s Fortune 50 customers.  Worked with OEC staff in Chicago, Boston and San Francisco in designing the system components.

Visual Basic/MSAccess  Best Reports, Chicago, IL. (Mar. - Dec. 1993)  -  Designed, developed and managed a Windows based, commercial application called the Insurance Auditor’s Toolbox.  This program kept track of workers compensation and liability insurance audits.  The program also allowed for remote access/upload services by the auditors to a central manager. 

Visual Basic/MSAccess  Daystar Computer, Chicago, IL. (Mar. - Dec. 1993) -  Developed a tool for a Microsoft Access application that controls the tracking of local, state and federal legislation electronically.  The Legistar is a port from a UNIX C program for use on a Windows network.

Visual Basic/MSAccess/SQL Server 4.2/Notes  FileAd Service Company, Chicago, IL. (Jan. 1993 - Present) -  Developed and designed a Windows based program that manages images of print ads.  The database keeps track of client billing, image management and routing as well as maintaining the actual images.  The images are then written to a CD-ROM for the specific client.  Also developed the user program that retrieves the images from the client site.

Visual Basic/SQLBase/SQL Server  Sega Games, San Mateo, Ca. (Mar. - Jan. 1992) -  Developed a disconnected client/server application that automated the game manufacturer’s sales force tasks.  This product maintained client history, the sales cycle, current order information and provided a two-way communications platform between management and the sales force.

Visual Basic/MSAccess  Luminair Communications, Chicago, IL. (Jan. - Mar. 1992) -  Produced a CD-ROM sampler for The University of Notre Dame entitled “100 Years of Notre Dame Football.”  Designed and developed the sampler for Luminair sales and marketing efforts.

Microsoft C++ (C7)  The Center For Advanced Computerized Trading, Chicago, IL.  -  Developed a Windows based software program that was included in the back of a book entitled “The Day Trader”, by Neil Weintraub.  The disk assisted the reader in learning about elements of the trading industry. 

C++/Paradox  BancOne, Evanston, IL.  -  Developed an automated budgeting program that took budgeting information from the then First Illinois Bank budgeting database, changed the format and sent the information to Columbus, Oh. to the central BancOne database.  Also wrote the user interface screens.

Paradox  First Illinois Bank, Wilmette, IL.  -  Designed a safety deposit box program that allowed the bank to administrate and maintain their safety deposit box system. 

C  Harris Bank - Investment Consulting and Analytics, Chicago, IL.  -  Designed and developed a program that allowed the  investment group to produce electronic graphs and charts of their portfolios.  This program was the first implementation of a PC based program for this group.

FORTRAN  Harris Bank - Investment Consulting and Analytics, Chicago, IL.  -  A second project for the above client, this involved the maintenance of various portfolio management programs under VMS as well as developing new programs under Windows.

C  The Chicago Title and Trust Company,  Chicago, IL.  -  Developed modules of an Imaging project that kept track of digital property titles.

 Knowledge Delivery Systems, Wilmette, IL.  -  Assisted in the development of a micro-based expert system software shell.
